Section 3 Boys Indoor T&F Championships: Alex Hatz, Fayetteville-Manlius NY, won the 3200 only a few days after his Reebok mile victory with a new US#1 time for the distance of 9:12.62. Zavon Watkins, Liverpool NY, cruised to an easy victory in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:37.56.
Susquehanna Indoor High School Classic: Alex Kenny, State College PA, won the 55 meter dash with a blazing fast 6.34h to take over US#1 for the short sprint.
River Ridge District Indoor T&F Championships: Kathleen Stevens, Blacksburg VA, won a blazing 3200 meter race against sister Joanna Stevens, with both runners under the old US#1. Kathleen won with a US#1 time of 10:19.85 with Joanna 2nd at US#2 10:20.64. Video of the race here!
NJ Varsity Classic: West Orange NJ won the DMR in a thrilling race with Haddonfield NJ to win with a new US#1 time of 10:16.3. On the bell lap West Orange's anchor, Curtis Richburg, passed Jonathan Vitez, Haddonfield, and his foot knocked the Haddonfield anchors baton to the infield. Haddonfield would wind up 2nd with a still impressive US#4 time of 10:20.5. Richburg anchored in 4:16.3. Arlington NY won the girls DMR with a US#3 time of 12:00.7. Haley McMahon split a solid 4:55.9 anchor for Arlington. Nick Vena struggled with his technique but still won the shot put with a throw of 67-8. United Heritage Invitational: Kasen Covington, Capital ID, put up some big marks in Idaho, jumping to a new US#1 mark in the triple jump with a mark of 49-11.75. Kasen also went 23-4.50 in the long jump to tie for uS#9. Sophomore Chase Caulkins (Wood River HS, ID) ran to a huge PR of 9:21.92 in the 2 Mile. Caulkin's time moves him into the US#7 spot. Jeff Davis Bank McNeese Indoor II: Morgann Leleux, Catholic High LA, had another great mark in the Pole Vault at 12'6". Leleux already holds the US#2 spot at 12'11". Compete Results
2010 CSC Winter Classic: Steve Turpin, Campbell County High School WY, Pole Vaulted to a new PR of 15'6" landing him in the US#10 spot. Complete Results
CHSAA Girls Sectional Champs: Phyllis Francis, Catherine McAuley NY, won the 600 meter dash, bettering her own US#1 mark with a time of 1:31.10. Kali Kendall, Bishop Loughlin, was a double winner with a 2:59.90 in the 1000 meter run and a 4:46.80 in the 1500 meter run.

Girls 4x200 meter relay: Benjamin Cardozo NY ran away with it after an unfortunate fall for Medgar Evers on the third leg. Cardozo is now the new national leader with a time of 1:38.60.
Boys 4x200 meter relay: Sheepshead Bay NY won with a monster anchor leg with a time of 1:29.05. Newburgh NY was just behind for 2nd in 1:29.29, and Medgar Evers NY was 3rd in 1:29.80. The rankings remain unchanged as all three were just fractions of a second off of their best times.
Boys Junior 300 meter dash: Brady Gehret, Altoona PA, won the 300 meter dash with a quick 33.51 for US#1 and a tie for US#6 All-Time. Blake Heriot, OH, finished 2nd out of the first heat with a US#2 time of 33.66.
Boys Junior 600 meter dash: A new US#1 for Michael Quercia, who finished with a time of 1:19.37. Also under the old mark was Randy Patterson, who now is at US#2 with a time of 1:19.92.
Girls Junior 600 meter dash: Phyllis Francis bettered her own US#1 mark with a time of 1:31.22 for the win. Becca DeLoache finished 2nd with a US#2 time of 1:32.64.
Girls Junior 4x800 meter relay: Saratoga NY won from the front with a 2:15 lead-off and a 2:14 anchor leg to set a new US#1 time of 9:10.16. Shenendahowa NY finished 2nd with a US#2 mark of 9:10.75. Bronxville NY was 3rd in 9:14.06.
Boys Junior 4x800 meter relay: Liverpool NY won wire-to-wire with an impressive run to take over US#1 with a blazing 7:47.32. St. Joseph's by the Sea NY was 2nd, also under 7:50 with a US#2 7:49.03. Shaker NY finished 3rd with a US#3 time of 7:52.99.
Girls Junior 1000 meter run: Kelsey Margey, NY, won on a 150 meter kick to set a new US#1 with a blazing 2:51.33. Marielle Hall, NJ, finished second in US#2 2:52.52.
Boys Junior 1000 meter run: Kevin Byrne, NJ, takes the win with a gutsy last lap over Zavon Watkins, NY, who led the whole way, 2:26.78 to 2:27.59. Byrne takes over US#1 with the win while Watkins improved upon his National Sophomore record.
Girls Junior 4x400 relay: Benjamin Cardozo rolled to a new US#1 and blazing 3:44.97! Medgar Evers finished 2nd, also blazing around the track for a US#2 3:46.44.
Boys Junior 4x400 relay: Newburgh NY won with a strong anchor leg to claim victory over the last 50 meters with a new US#1 time of 3:20.13! Boys & Girls NY was second in 3:20.89 for US#3 and Mount Vernon NY was third.
Reebok Boston Indoor Games: Emily Lipari, Roslyn NY, gets sweet redemption from Millrose with a big victory here. Emily won with a new US#1 time of 4:46.77 for the mile run. Her time also sets a new BIG record, breaking the 4:48.83 set by Jillian Smith in 2008. Joanna Stevens, Blacksburg VA, was 2nd in 4:50.02 and Cory McGee, Pass Christian MS, was 3rd in 4:50.06. Kathleen Stevens, Blacksburg VA, was 4th in 4:51.03. Alex Hatz, Fayettville-Manlius NY, won the boys mile with a 4:12.10 for a new US#1. Ammar Moussa, Arcadia CA, took second in the mile with a 4:14.13 and a US#8.
California Indoor State Meet (Run for the Dream): Meet starting now, stay tuned! Flash Results Here Monte Corley (Sr., Union City) moves into the US#5 spot in the 55 Meter Hurdles with a time of 7.45. Corley shares #5 with Marquis Woodyard (MD) and Richmond Ahadzi (NY). RJ Frasier (Sr., Elk Grove) also ran to a US#5 place with a 6.38 in the 55 Meter Dash. Jantzen Oshier (Jr., Trabuco Canyon) won the boys mile in 4:16.97. Michael Woepse (Sr., Mater Dei) bettered his own US#1 Pole Vault jump by vaulting 16'7". His jump at the Reno Pole Vault Summit was 16'6". Kortney Ross (Sr., Westview) moved into US# 3 with her Pole Vault of 12'6". Sophomore Victoria Rische (Foothill, SS) also Pole Vaulted to a US#4 height of 12'6". Harrison Steed (Sr., JSerra Catholic) moved into US#2 in the High Jump with a jump of 6'10". It was a nail biter in the 55 Meter Hurdles for Melia Cox (Jr., Polytechnic High) and Kori Carter (Sr., Claremont). Cox finished 1st with a US#2 time of 7.99; Carter's 2nd place time of 8.02 put her in US#3. On her first jump, junior Melia Cox (Polytechnic High) jumped to an impressive US #1 40-01.50 in the triple jump. Jenna Puterbaugh (Sr., Santa Fe Christian) edged out Valexsia Droughn (Jr., Rio Mesa) in the 55 meter dash. Puterbaugh hit the tape at 7.02 for a US #3 place with Droughn finishing 2nd with a US#4 time of 7.03.
New Hampshire Indoor T&F State Championships: Class I-M-S: Dominic Filiano, Lebanon, won the boys shot put with a 63-03.50 to move to US#3. Michael Peret, Souhegan, was a double winner, taking the boys 55 dash in 6.59 and the boys 300 meter dash in 36.75. Eric Jenkins, Portsmouth, won the boys 3000 meter run in 8:56.69. Milford won the girls 4x800 with a time of 9:50.36. Carolyn Maynard, Hopkinton, won the girls 300 meter dash in 40.92. Class L coming later tonight.
Vermont Indoor T&F State Championships: Katie Polakowski, Essex, won the 55 hurdles with a time of 8.44 and the 55 dash with a time of 7.49. Mike Dimambro, Essex, won the long jump win with a mark of 21-3, and was oh-so-close in the 55 dash with a time of 6.62. Kyle Chu, South Burlington, won in 6.62 by the tiniest of margins (6.616-6.618).
Northeastern Conference Championships: Monica Adler, Beverly, won the mile with a time of 4:59.34. Lindsay Walsh, Swampscott, won the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:00.01. Gilbert Brown, Gloucester, won the 600 meter dash with a time of 1:26.22.
Atlantic Coast Invite: Day 1: Darrell Wesh, Landstown VA, won the boys 55 meter dash with a time of 6.36, which ties for US#1. Samantha Scarlett, Bethel VA, won the girls 55 meter hurdles with a US#4 time of 8.09. Day 2: Shakeela Saunders, Great Bridge VA, won the 500 meter dash with a US#1 time of 1:14.46. Western Branch VA ran a US#2 4x200 relay time of 1:40.72. Justin Hunter, Ocean Lakes VA, won the high jump with a US#2 mark of 6-10 and a US#6 long jump of 23-6.50 (already US#3). Landstown VA ran a 3:25.49 4x400, the fastest on a 200 meter flat track in the country.
NY Section 3 Girls Champs: Courtney Chapman, Fayettville-Manlius NY, won the 1000 meter run with a US#2 time of 2:54.98. She also won the 1500 in 4:47.16. Fayettville-Manlius won the 4x800 with a time of 9:28.82. Taylor Wendler, Cicero-North Syracuse NY, won the 3000 meter run with a US#12 time of 10:07.42.
Poreda Invitational: Central Bucks West PA went solo to a US#4 time of 7:56.81. Mariah Browne, South Brunswick NJ, won the long jump with a US#6 leap of 18-10.75.
NJ State Sectionals: Curtis Richburg, West Orange NJ, won the boys north 1 group 4 1600 with a US#1 time of 4:14.43. Joelle Amaral, Randolph NJ, won the girls north 1 group 4 1600 with a time of 4:57.16. Claudia Disomma, Sparta NJ, set a NJ state frosh record with her 1600 meter win in 4:58.36.
Mount Union HS Open #1: Madeline Morrow (SO, North Canton, OH) won the girls high jump with a jump of 5-08.00 almost matching her US# 5 jump of 5-08.25. Morrows older brother Aaron (Sr., North Canton, OH) won the boys high jump with a jump of 6-06.00. Aaron is currently ranked at US#8 with 6-08.25. Complete results
Reebok Boston Indoor Games Previews: Cory McGee, Pass Christian MS, will look to add the BIG mile to her growing list of indoor accolades. She won the Millrose mile last weekend with a US#1 4:52.77, dominating the field in the process. With a faster track a sub-4:50 winning time is possible. Emily Lipari, Roslyn NY, is also back from Millrose for another shot at Cory. Emily has a US#2 4:54.76 to her credit this year. Claudia Francis, Benjamin Cardozo NY, US#1 in the 800 with a 2:12.42, will be moving up to show what she's got in the mile run. Joanna Stevens, Blacksburg VA, has a US#3 2:55.80 in the 1000, and will be in the mix tomorrow. Teammate and twin sister Kathleen Stevens will be racing for the win as well. Kathleen has a US#6 2:55.80 in the 1000 this year. Rounding out the field are Alanna Poretta, Groveland MA, Katrina Coogan, Exeter NH, and McKinzie Schulz, Naperville IL.
New Balance Games Previews Girls Preview: The girls 4x800 meter relay will feature a showdown between US#1 St. John Villa Academy (NY) and US#2 Bronxville (NY). The two teams are within 2 seconds of each other at 9:12.85 and 9:14.43. They are a full 8 seconds up on the rest of the field. US#7 Saratoga Springs (NY) will be in the mix as well. Rounding out the race are US#10 Northport (NY), US#13 Conestoga (PA), US#14 Ward Mellville (NY), and US#15 Cicero-North Syracuse (NY).
Boys Preview: The boys junior 300 meter dash is one of many highlights this weekend at the Armory, but it is a big one! The star of the show is Pennsylvania speedster Brady Gehret (PA), who is ranked US#1 in the 400 and US#2 in the 200. Patrick Farmer (NY) is US#2 in the 400, but was #1 until Brady began his season. The race also features Blake Heriot (OH), US#3 in the 200 and Fuquwan Greene (NC), US#4 in the 200. John Thomas (NY), who has a goal of setting the indoor national record in the 300, has the perfect race in which to do it. This race is stacked and promises to be a thriller!
