Boys US Rankings Girls US Rankings

 

Colgate Games:  Claudia Francis, NY, edged out Marielle Hall, NJ, in a thrilling 800 meter run US#1 2:12.42 to US#2 2:12.55! Whitney Fountain, NY, won the 200 meter dash with a US#2 time of 24.44, just 2-hundreths of a second off of Chamique Francis' US#1. Chamique Francis, NY, won the 55 meter dash in 7.15.

 

MSTCA Elite Meet:  Six of the top-10 US 1000 meter run marks from the same race!  Monica Adler, Beverly MA, won with a new US#1 time of 2:54.84.  Emily Grotz, Oliver Ames MA, was 2nd with a US#3 time of 2:56.15.  Melanie Fineman, Newton South MA, finished 3rd with a US#4 time of 2:56.33.  Jen Thomas, Bishop Feehan, was 4th with a US#6 time of 2:56.88.  Leanne Tucker, Tewksbury Memorial MA, was 5th with a US#7 time of 2:56.98, and Lindsay Walsh, Swampscott MA, was 6th with a US#10 time of 2:57.41. Andrea Keklak, Lincoln-Sudbury MA, won the 600 meter run with a US#2 time of 1:34.44.  Rebecca Stabile, Haverhill MA, was 2nd with a US#5 time of 1:35.83.  Natalia Paine, Northampton MA, was 3rd with a US#6 time of 1:35.93.  Kendal Knous, Franklin MA, was 4th with a US#7 time of 1:35.94.  Rebecca Robinson, Arlington MA, won the 300 meter dash with a US#6 time of 39.64.  Steve Sollowin, Weymouth MA, won the 1000 meter run with a US#9 time of 2:32.18.  Andy Sukeforth, Middleborough MA, was 2nd with a US#10 time of 2:32.49.  Mark Vetere, Andover MA, won the 600 meter run with a US#10 time of 1:23.03.  Steve Souza, BMC Durfee MA, was a very close second with a US#11 time of 1:23.06.  Jeff Bush, Westborough MA, won the 2 mile run with a US#7 time of 9:22.89.  Casey O'Brien, Seekonk MA, won the 300 meter dash with a US#8 time of 35.17.

 

 

Mountain T's Invitational:  Brian Shrader, AZ, finished 2nd in a collegiate 3k with a US#10 8:45.49.  

 

 

Lobo Challenge:  Bronson Doran, NM, won the 600 meter dash in a blazing 1:20.83 for US#2!  Krista Armstead, NM, ran US#11 in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.83.

 

 

Terrier Classic:  John Bleday, Xavieran Brothers MA, ran a US#3 4:12.70 in the One mile run.

Boys One Mile Racewalk:  Park senior Trevor Barron finished 3rd in the elite one mile RaceWalk, but ran away with a US High School Record of 6:03.48. The record had been 6:11. Barron told USATF after his event, "(I) owe a lot to Tim (Seaman), he started coaching me in '08 and I've really progressed since then. If it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't still be walking. I'm going to race in New Mexico, which is the trials for the World Cup."

 

NYRR Girls HS Mile:  Cory McGee, Pass Christian MS, won the Millrose mile after three years of experiencing the runner-up position.  McGee recorded a US#1 time of 4:52.77 in the race.  Aisling Cuffe, Cornwall NY, threw in a fierce kick to put herself in the runner-up position with a time of 4:55.56.  Elizabeth Predmore, NY, finished third in 4:56.07.  

 

NYRR Boys HS Mile:  Pat Schellberg, Delbarton NJ, won the Millrose mile with a serious surge at the half-way point, holding on for the win in 4:14.94.  Anthony Kostelac, Albemarle VA, kicked hard but had to settle for second place in 4:16.75.  Francis Hernandez, Bishop Guertin NH, was third in 4:17.58.  

 

HS Boys 4x800:  Abington PA surprised the field on the second leg, opening up a gap they would never relinquish, with a 8:01 clocking for the win.  Christian Brothers Academy NJ, was the best of the rest with a runner-up clocking of 8:06.22.  Haddonfield NJ finished third with a time of 8:08.68.  

 

HS Girls 4x800:  Garden City NY ran a very smart race to finish with a 9:22.66 first place time.  Bronxville NY, a team with an 8th grader, two freshmen, and a senior, took the race as a learning experience, but still finished an impressive 2nd with a time of 9:24.57.  North Shore NY was third in 9:24.67.  

 

 

Jayhawk Classic: Emily Sisson, MO, ran away from a collegiate field in Kansas to set herself head and shoulders above any other high schooler over 3000 meters.  Sisson ran 9:25.7h for the win by over 5 seconds in a time that is #3 All-Time indoors behind Melody Fairchild's 9:17.7 in 1991 and Erin Keogh's 9:21.41 in 1987.

 

 

Pole Vault Summit:  Michael Woepse (Sr., Mater Dei, CA) pole vaults to 16'6" to tie for US #1.  Merritt Van Meter (Sr., Met Park Country Day School, LA) beat her own US #1 mark of 13'2" by clearing the pole vault in 13'3".   Boys Results | Girls Results

 

 

Randolph Shot Put Invitational: Nick Vena, Morristown NJ, impresses again with another 70+ bomb, this time reaching 71-5.

 

 

University of Washington Invitational:  Ashton Purvis (Sr., St. Elizabeth HS, CA) ties her US #1 of 7:43 in the 60 meter dash, Trinity Wilson (So., St., Mary's College HS, CA) just off her US #1 in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.51.  Maddie Meyers (So., The Northwest School, WA) ran to a US #4 spot with a 4:55.93  Friday Session 1 results   Saturday Session 2 results |  Saturday Session 3 results

 

 

Maple Leaf Track Club Indoor Series #2:  Dustin Brode, Canfield OH, won the shot put with a US#2 mark of 64-4 and the weight throw in 65-2. 

 

 

Jimmy Carnes Indoor Invitational:  Armando Del Valle, FL, won the mile run with a time of 4:20.77 to decisively defeat Jimmy Clark and Matt Mizereck.  Mizereck won the 3000 meter run with a US#9 time of 8:42.65.  Jana Stolting, FL, won the girls 3000 meter run with a US#6 time of 10:01.78.  Stephanie Strasser, FL, won the girls mile with a time of 5:04.16.

 

 

CCC Indoor Championships:   Just a day after finishing 7th in the Millrose mile Lindsay Crevoiserat, Glastonbury CT, pulled an impressive double.  Lindsay won the 1000 meter run in 3:02.37 and the 3200 meter run in 10:56.19.  

 

 

WNC Polar Bear Championships  Issac Presson (Sr., Asheville, NC)  won the 1000 meter run with a US#5 time of 2:30.94.  Complete Results

 

 

St. Christopher's School T&F Invitational:  Quintin Fulgham, Thomas Dale, went US #10 23-1.50 in the long jump.  Hannah Lowery, Stafford, ran a US #11 time of 10:54.01 for the 3200 meter run win.  Stephanie Oleson, Henrico, won the pole vault with a US #12 11-7.  Anthony Williams, Potomac, won the boys 55 meter hurdles with a US #14 7.56.  Josh Morris, Fork Union, won the boys 3200 meter run with a US #17 9:26.07.  Stafford VA won the boys 4x800 with a US #20 8:03.02.  Osbourn Park VA won the girls 4x800 with a time of 9:42.04.  Trevor Ellie, Atlee, won the boys 55 meter dash in 6.50.

 

 

MSTCA Coaches Invitational:  Jake Reed, North Middlesex MA, won the 600 meter run with a US#15 time of 1:23.52.  Cathy Withers, Marlborough MA, won the girls 600 meter run with a US#8 time of 1:37.57.

 

 

Eastern Athletic Championships:  Jen Thomas, Bishop Feehan MA, won the 1000 meter run with a U#11 time of 2:58.46.  Tim Cordeiro, Somerset MA, won the 600 meter run with a time of 1:23.70.  

 

 

Cape Fear 3A Indoor conference:  Eric Winfrey (Jr., Douglas Byrd, NC) comes up with double wins in the 55 meter dash in 6.39 and the 300 meter dash in 34.81   Complete Results

 

 

Doug Sharples Invitational:  Sophomore Steve Piscatelli, Weston CT, won the boys 1000 meter run with a time of 2:32.70.  Jackie Nicholas, Nonnewaug CT, won the girls 1000 meter run with a time of 3:01.59.

 

 

Tri-County League Meet #6, MA:  Toby Belton, St. John's MA, won the high jump with a leap of 6-6.

 

 

MITS #2 @ EMU:  Austin Whitelaw, Monroe MI, won the 3200 meter run with a 9:25.35, tied for US#14.

Joe Davies Open:  Kayla Fisher-Taylor, Montbello CO, won the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.57, which puts her in a 3-way tie for US#2.  Marcus Harris, Eaglecrest CO, won the boys 60 meter dash with a time of 6.87, which is a tie for US#4.

 

 

Midwest Club Indoor Meet: Margo Tucker, Lawrence Central IN, went 12-3 in the pole vault to land at US#4 in the rankings. 

 

 

Kent State HS Open #1: Dustin Brode, Canfield OH, unleashed some bombs over the weekend with a US#2 shot put of 63-2 and a US#5 mark of 66-2 in the weight throw.  Fred Roberts, Orange OH, went 8,15 in the 60 meter hurdles for a US#7 tie. 

 

 

Ohio State Buckeye HS Qualifer #1:  Demoye Bogle, Wayne OH, won the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.88 for a US#7 tie and the 60 meter hurdles with a 8.15 for a US#7 tie.  Joey Uhle, Olentangy Liberty OH, won the pole vault with a mark of 15-6 for US#5 tie.  Video footage here! 

 

 

MSTCA Division 1 State Relays:  Moira Cronin, Andover MA, already tied for US#1 at 5-10, continues to jump consistently well with a leap of 5-9.  Lincoln-Sudbury Regional MA rocked the relays with a 4x800 win in 9:31.43 and a DMR win in 12:31.99.  Andover MA won the boys SMR with a US#7 time of 3:36.19.  

 

 

MITS #3 at Grand Valley State:  Megan Goethals, Rochester MI, is beginning her indoor campaign in earnest, with another fast time in the same week, this time with a US#1 10:25.66 in the 3200 meter run.  Gabrielle Anzalone, Grand Blanc MI, was second with a US#6 time of 10:49.08.  The boys 3200 was fast as well with Reed Kamyszek, Kenowa Hills MI, winning with a US# 4 mark of 9:20.85. 

 

 

Sec. 9 OCIAA Division Meet:  Aisling Cuffe, Cornwall NY, appears ready to roll Friday night at Millrose, as she worked out the kinks with a US#2 4:38.06 in the Division 3 1500 meter run. 

 


Montgomery County Championships:  Northwest MD girls rolled to three relay meet records with wins in the 4x200 (1:43.21), 4x400 (4:00.58), and 4x800 (9:35.01).  Thea LeFond, John F. Kennedy MD, won three championships with a triple jump victory of 38-2.75, a 55 hurdle victory of 8.68, and a high jump win.  Demascus MD boys won the 4x800 with a time of 8:04.18.  

 

 

Monmouth County Championships:  Ajee Wilson, Neptune NJ, won the 800 meter run with a US#4 performance of 2:14.60 to outlast Molly McNamara, Red Bank Catholic NJ, 2:15.75.  

 


New Hampshire Indoor Track League Meet #6:  Francis Hernandez, Bishop Guertin NH, won the 1000 meter run with a US#3 time of 2:30.60.  Kevin Rosenberg, Nashua North NH, won the shot with a US#9 put of 58-3.

We see all of these great High School times and there are alot of meets. But I have great Junior High kids that want to run in indoor meets. What can we do if we want to develop talent.
